FinSight AI
An AI-powered personal finance advisor built in under 48 hours, designed to deliver intelligent financial insights and advice.
The Challenge
My team and I built FinSight during UGAHacks, focusing on creating a seamless and secure experience for users to manage their finances with the help of AI.
My focus was on the frontend and integration work. I built the interface using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS, implemented authentication, and connected everything to our PostgreSQL database using TypeScript.
One of the biggest challenges was my first time integrating a Java Spring Boot backend into a React website. It was a significant learning curve, but we made it work, and the experience was invaluable.
We integrated the OpenRouter LLM API to deliver intelligent financial advice, providing users with actionable insights based on their financial data.
